Planned Outage

Just a heads-up that this weekend, we're going to have a very brief planned outage.

We're making changes at one of our data centers to make MailChimp a little more speedy for some of our users.

This outage will only affect users whose accounts are hosted in our "us2" data center (if you received this email, that means you have at least one MailChimp account hosted on us2).

The outage should only last a few minutes, according to the folks at the data center. Officially though, we're going to say that this will take a few hours (proper expectations and all).

The outage will be at:
12:00 AM EST February 20 (midnight Saturday night / Sunday morning).
[see this in your time zone]

Messages being sent at that time will be put in the queue, and delivered immediately after the upgrade is complete. You can expect slight delivery delays, but tracking, etc. will still be operational after delivery.

Sincerely,

and the rest of the MailChimp family

Freddie in the flesh

MailChimp recently...

Doubled our Freemium Plan (again)

Redesigned our website, then our entire app

Launched the $1million MailChimp Integration Fund

Integrated with Storify and Shortstack (oh yeah, SunDrop Mobile and MarkDownMail too)

Kinda freaked out a little, then integrated with Amazon SES
