Hey, Nancy. 2012 was big for us here at MailChimp (our marketing team put together a spiffy annual report that reveals the details). We released a lot of new stuff, and improved old mainstays: Launched Gather, a text messaging app for events Released a transactional email app called Mandrill Totally revamped TinyLetter Enhanced list searching and added campaign search Improved Autoresponders and RSS-to-email Rebuilt our email editor with drag and drop design Holy cow, we've been busy! But we've got more new stuff in the works for MailChimp in 2013. We want to make sure we're addressing the things that're most important to you. MailChimp v7.9, our new SMS app, and some email research

We've got two big announcements to share with you. 1. New features just went live Yay, more improvements to our new drag and drop editor. We added the ability to save and re-use favorite templates, we tweaked the navigation (ever so slightly), and we added some advanced filtering to our campaign and subscriber search tool (don't worry, there's a cheat sheet).   Details about v7.9 on the MailChimp Blog Watch some videos of the drag and drop editor in action. 2. We've launched an SMS app for events If you host events or meetups, you've probably had to send a last minute announcement or some breaking news to your attendees. Maybe the venue changed, or your speaker was a no-show, or the wifi password at the hotel got reset. Email's too slow for that, and getting up on stage isn't always an option. So we created Gather.
